Derek Deckard has been involved in the construction industry since 2000. During his career, he has worked as a project engineer, project manager, owner’s representative and regional project manager. In 2010, he was involved in the construction of the George Bush Presidential Library, along with various other projects, at Southern Methodist University.
As executive vice president, Derek oversees the growth and development of all lines of business, with a main focus on commercial construction. He brings extensive knowledge and experience to the business. Through the years, he has been involved in the design, construction, and development of approximately $1 billion in projects, including the presidential library, multiple data centers, retail, student housing, multifamily, K-12, and university. Derek enjoys problem-solving and makes customer service a priority to ensure all involved are happy with the final outcome.
Derek holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He and his wife, Lacy, have been married for 13 years and have two children.
