David “Skip” Wade is a second-generation building professional with more than 35 years of experience. He has been involved in the construction industry since 1981, when he started as an assistant superintendent. Since then, he has gained an extensive knowledge of the business while working in roles including vice president of construction, senior project manager, and director of construction. Through the years, Skip has worked on numerous successful projects from multifamily to office warehouse to mixed-use.
In 2008, he left his role as vice president of construction at Phoenix Property Company to form Wade Construction Group. As founder and president, Skip oversees all operations and business development for the company. Through his leadership, Wade Construction Group has grown from a small business with a few employees to a well-respected leader in construction that brings together the expertise and skills of more than 40 employees. In the last 10 years, Skip has overseen the successful completion of over $300 million in projects.
Skip holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He has served on numerous church and civic committees and sat on the board of directors, and as chairman, for the Home and Apartment Builders Association Multifamily Builders Council.
